I recently discovered this. I read The God of Small Things in 2005, and it changed the way I look at the world. Arundhati is worthy of the greatest respect. If I had heroes, if I were wanting an idol, it would be Ms. Roy.

I've had the utmost respect, admiration and crush on Arndhati Roy for years. It made me very happy to see this on my feeds today.
it's nice to hear her talking, and nice that she works words the way she writes, the sounds becoming rounded and dancing. even while talking about such sharp, acidic topics
